Wallpaper* is publishing a book on the history of the Rolex Submariner. Titled “Oyster Perpetual Submariner – The watch that opened the depths”, the publication documents the history of one of the brand’s most recognisable models.
The 252-page book was written by Nicholas Foulkes, a renowned watch historian and expert. Arnaud Boetsch, Rolex Director of Communications and Image, says: “The Submariner, the archetypal diving watch, embodies the historical connection between Rolex and underwater exploration. Over time, they have become iconic watches whose fame extends far beyond the maritime world.”
The hardcover edition, priced at £100 (around $132), is available in English and French and goes on sale in select stores on October 1. Limited-edition silk-bound copies will be available for pre-order from Wallpaper* Boutique from September 16-19.
Please note that Bob’s Watches, a leading online platform for the purchase and resale of watches (including Rolex, Cartier and OMEGA), has announced a partnership with Fred Segal.
