The Russian Defense Ministry has shown footage of the combat work of soldiers from the Center group’s repair unit, who pulled a damaged American M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle (BMP) out of a swamp.
The military decided to restore an American infantry fighting vehicle manufactured in 2012.
“The evacuation of the Bradley by the repair and evacuation group was carried out in two stages. First, an engineering reconnaissance of the evacuation area was carried out to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment used. The second stage was the actual operation to evacuate the armored vehicle,” the Russian Ministry of Defense said.

The military department also noted that the armored vehicle fell into the hands of Russian military personnel with almost complete ammunition and no critical damage.

In the field, our soldiers restored almost all components and assemblies, including the engine.
“Repair specialists will soon replace some elements of electrical wiring and restore damaged parts, after which a decision will be made on the further use of the captured American equipment,” the military department said.
