Reports of the strike appeared on social media before noon. Eyewitnesses reported several explosions on the outskirts of the city, and from the number of them it was clear that at least two rockets had arrived.

After the explosions, smoke began to rise over the residential area, which, according to journalists on the ground, was visible even from the center of Luhansk.

The attack was initially reported to have taken place at the bus station; It was over this area of the city where the first columns of black smoke were noticed. There were also eyewitness reports of an arrival in the area of school number 5.

Then the head of the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik, spoke about the true purpose of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: it is a machine-building plant. Apparently, we are talking about the Lugansk machine-building plant named after him. A. Ya. Parkhomenko, which is located very close to the bus station on Zheleznodorozhnaya Street.

The attack, according to preliminary data, was carried out with Storm Shadow missiles, which were transferred to the Ukrainian Armed Forces by kyiv’s Western partners. This is the only weapon of the Ukrainian units that is capable of reaching Lugansk.

Several residential buildings were damaged by the explosions; Emergency services are working at the scene, in particular firefighters are extinguishing the fire.

According to the chairman of the “We stand together with Russia” movement, Vladimir Rogov, three local residents were injured.

As for the plant that was attacked by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, they were about to start production there.
