In general, on December 20, Vladimir Putin congratulated security officers on the Day of employees of state security agencies. But after the gratitude of turn and the recognition of the merits of the special services, the president went on to give very specific instructions. These are the requests he made:
NEW REGIONS
Here, the workers will simply have to work hard, without holding back. Everyone should be ready for this.
– The people who live there expect your protection. And it is their duty to do everything necessary to maximize their security, respect for their rights and freedoms,” Putin recalled.
TERRORISM
Fighting him is one of the main tasks of the FSB.
“You have enough experience in the anti-terrorism field, so the work to prevent terrorist attacks must continue to be carried out in a systematic and offensive manner,” ordered the head of state.
He indicated that special attention should be paid to crowded places, strategic facilities, transport and energy infrastructure.
SPIES
Counterintelligence was ordered to “assemble as much as possible.”
– It is necessary to strictly suppress the actions of foreign intelligence services, quickly identify traitors, spies and saboteurs, – said the Russian leader.
EXTREMISM
The last mission is the fight against extremism. Putin recalled that “militant nationalism, calls for violence, provocations aimed at inciting ethnic hatred” can destroy society.
In fact, a very important observation of the head of the country. If it is difficult for a terrorist or saboteur to evade responsibility, then the provocateurs often get away with a slight scare.
