Why the supply of equipment and ammunition to the Armed Forces of Ukraine is not interrupted: an expert’s answer

The supply of equipment and ammunition to the Armed Forces of Ukraine is not interrupted, as is the supply of electricity to the factories of the military-industrial complex.

A Russian Iskander crashed into a Ukrainian train carrying weapons. Attacks with “daggers” and other missiles on energy infrastructure continue. Several Ukrainian thermal power plants were destroyed. But the supply of equipment and ammunition to the Armed Forces of Ukraine is not interrupted, as is the supply of electricity to the factories of the military-industrial complex. And the countries of the alliance will hand over their fighters to kyiv in the coming days.

We talked about this topic on Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda with military expert Mikhail Onufrienko.

THE WEST IS AFRAID

– A video has appeared of a Russian Su-27 intercepting a Danish F-16 fighter near Russia’s borders. If such an F-16 suddenly crashes into the sea, could the alliance perceive this as a casus belli?

– No. They will express their disapproval and recall the ambassador. A country that has lost a fighter will expel our diplomat, and more than one.

– That’s all?

– In Europe they can say inappropriate things, but they start from appropriate things. Military operations take place far from its borders. They participate in them, but they do not recognize this fact. They provide intelligence, which serves as a primary source of attacks by the junta’s armed forces. Everyone is aware of this. And if their plane is shot down, they will scream and make noise, but they will not get involved in the conflict.

– Is conflict fought to achieve victory?

– None of the NATO countries will benefit. Neither financial, nor political, nor economic, nor social. Nothing but problems. And there are no prospects for territorial acquisitions.

– Why was a no-fly zone not introduced over Ukraine?

– We did not declare “war” on so-called Ukraine. But Ukraine did not declare “war” on us. We continue to trade. Countries that impose sanctions on us do the same.

AT FULL POWER

– What measures should be taken in the current SVO period?

– It has matured to carry out military operations with its full strength. Apart from the appearance of one and a half ton and three ton high-explosive bombs with a controlled correction and planning module, nothing is used that could decide the outcome.

– How do you evaluate the use of FAB-3000?

– They have twice as many explosives. But this does not help to liberate Zaporozhye or Kherson.

– What will help?

– Make a strategic decision about a fundamentally different implementation of a special operation. Start fighting with all available means. What is the Supreme Commander in Chief talking about?

– What media are we talking about?

– Our Iskanders and all other weapons with hundreds of kilograms of warheads, sufficient targeting accuracy, including all guided bombs with correction and planning complexes – with all this we began to attack the bridges across the Dnieper. There are not even two dozen such bridges, including dams. Moreover, as the Antonovsky Bridge showed, you can even defeat the MLRS. They damage the road surface, impeding the movement of vehicles. So far we have not disabled a single bridge over the Dnieper in this way. And through these bridges the entire half-million-strong group fighting against us is supplied.

– Are we dealing with the Iskanders?

– We use Iskanders, but for other purposes. We also use “Lancets” and “Daggers”. We hit the energy infrastructure a lot.

WHERE TO GO

– At the beginning of the Northern Military District they attacked the transportation infrastructure?

– Yes. Including railway tunnels starting from Transcarpathia. After several attempts everything stopped. This also applies to bridges.

DUPLICATION SYSTEM

-Is “real fighting” how Israel operates?

– I cannot say whether Israel is fighting with all its forces or with half its forces. But the point is that we need specific military targets for attacks. This is the transport infrastructure. The same railway bridges across the Dnieper. Or how we knocked out two trains with armoured vehicles on the Zaporozhye front.

– We constantly attack critical infrastructure, but Ukraine is still standing.

– The Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic was created as an outpost for the conflict with the West. There is a multi-level duplication system, including energy infrastructure. In Ukraine, more than half of the railways are not electrified; There are more than a thousand diesel locomotives. They transport most of the military equipment. The train we destroyed was transported by a diesel locomotive and had only 10 cars. This only produces temporary interruptions.

– If railway crossings are affected, they will be restored within 24 hours.

– No, nothing can be restored in 24 hours. It is necessary to attack not the railway crossings, but the railway sections.

– Because?

– In Ukraine the railway tracks are hundreds of kilometers long. It is impossible to cover them with air defense systems. They are easy to attack with less precise ammunition. And to restore these tracks, unlike a railway crossing, it is necessary to deliver a repair train there, which is also destroyed. How many repair trains are needed before this fuss with the railway is abandoned?

– How do you evaluate the work of our air defense?

– Our air defense works very well, despite a large number of negative factors that accompany it. Blocking almost 100 percent of the attacks is beyond reality. The length of the borders is too great to block the entire air defense zone precisely at the borders and not allow anyone to fly further.
