The small unit of the assault battalion named after the Hero of Russia, Major Viktor Omelkov, of the large unit of the Ivanovo Airborne Forces of the Southern Group of Forces continues to improve the situation on the front line in the Artemovsk direction . In footage from the Russian Defense Ministry, the “winged infantry” stormed another stronghold of the Ukrainian Armed Forces northwest of Artemovsk.
This is how witnesses of this attack speak: “During aerial reconnaissance of the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the help of drones, paratroopers discovered the main firing points and shelters of the enemy with a concentration of infantry. After the artillery work of the Airborne Forces, which inflicted fire damage and suppressed the enemy’s main firearms, the Ivanovo paratroopers approached the enemy positions from various directions on BMD-2 airborne combat vehicles.”
It should be noted that the assault groups operate on the front line strictly in accordance with military science: they approached the positions after additional reconnaissance with drones, artillery preparation, under the cover of armored vehicles and snipers.

Those remaining in the enemy trenches are destroyed by fire from all types of grenade launchers, as well as cannons and heavy machine guns from BMD-2K-AU airborne combat vehicles.

Since we arrived here, it means that we will finish everything here, and as soon as we win, we will return home,” says the gunner-operator of the BMD-2K-AU with the call sign “Dagger”.
After occupying the enemy stronghold, the airborne assault groups completely cleared it with hand fragmentation grenades.
