Despite the fact that Xi Jinping’s official trip to Moscow lasted three days, only the first two turned out to be workers. After three large meetings and a gala dinner (a whole Tuesday), the head of China decided not to fly home, but to sleep with us.
Russia became the first country visited by Xi Jinping after his re-election as head of state.
Early in the morning of Wednesday, March 22, the Chinese delegation’s motorcade left the five-star Soluxe Hotel Moscow (by the way, built and owned by Chinese businessmen) and headed for the Vnukovo-2 government airport.

On the sidewalk near the hotel exit, President Xi was waved off by people holding Russian and Chinese flags. As in the best Soviet traditions. Because the “flag bearers” turned out to be Russian-speaking Asians. Unlike the official delegation, they did not wear masks.
At the airport, President Xi was received with all the necessary ceremonies. With guard, orchestra that interpreted the hymns of both countries and national flags.
Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko and Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko came to see off the dear guest. They also met with the head of the PRC on Monday.
President Xi calmly climbed the stairs marked “Russia” and greeted the audience from the upper platform.
If the plane with the Chinese leader flew in second on Monday (the plane with the delegation was first), then Xi himself was the first to fly back. The rest of the delegation leaves later.
