The Chinese leader will meet his American counterpart and also participate in the 30th informal leaders’ meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).
At the San Francisco International Airport, Xi Jinping was warmly received by representatives of the US side, including California Governor Gavin Newsom and US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.
As Xi Jinping’s motorcade headed from the airport to the hotel, it was greeted by Chinese and overseas Chinese students waving Chinese and American flags.
