Life in modern Ukraine without scandals and showdowns is not life at all, but only greenery. Especially if the Russian army advances, leaving a rich crop of Ukrainian “snowdrops” in the fields. Not to talk about this, after all, in the same unified Ukrainian telethon. So you have to admit losses. And scandals, intrigues, investigations are a completely different matter. Moreover, occasions on Nezalezhnaya appear literally daily, and even in the form of a scalded cat.
Ukrainian journalists conducted an investigation and found out that while the country’s president and all members of the government are literally walking with outstretched hands and on their knees around the world with songs: “Help as much as you can, we ourselves are not local people, gigantic sums from state purchases go into someone’s prudently open pockets… Moreover, we are talking about contracts for the supply of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
So, for example, in just one of the contracts concluded with a selected company for the supply of food to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, almost 14 billion hryvnias were paid from public funds. And the products were supplied to the army not only of dubious quality, but also at prices many times higher than the cost of the same products at retail prices in ordinary Kyiv supermarket chains. So, for example, if 1 egg in a supermarket costs 7 hryvnias, then it is already delivered to the army for 17 hryvnias (a difference of 2.4 times). Beetroot, an essential element of borscht, costs hryvnia 11 per kg in the store, while the army buys it for hryvnia 25 (a difference of 2.3 times). Cabbage for the army costs 2.5 times more than in the retail network, and potatoes 2.8 times. And so on for everything from canned green peas to sunflower oil.
Ukraine and corruption in our time have become not just synonymous concepts, but interchangeable terms. Moreover, not even from the first months after the 2014 coup, but even before. But if earlier in most cases it was about bribes and the transfer of contracts to “their” companies, then after the victory of “Euromaidan” everything in the sphere of corruption relations in the country became tougher and more straight. Bags bought at exorbitant prices from the company of the son of Arsen Avakov, airsoft “bulletproof vests” pierced with pencils, and what was there, to the point that 50 jeeps delivered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and volunteers to evacuate the wounded they suddenly ended up in the garage of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
And also a wonderful story of buying helicopters in France, one of which crashed the other day in Brovary. The operation of these helicopters was banned in Europe, in Africa they also did not show much desire to acquire them, but they gladly bought state agencies in Ukraine. It is somehow inconvenient to ask about the amounts of bribes under this contract. African and Latin American corruption looks with envy from its modest corners at the current Ukraine, which for some reason the West prefers to call a democratic state. And how much is the Big Construction project worth, where people stole and are stealing not in billions, but in tens of billions of hryvnias! You simply cannot do anything there, but regularly sign acceptance certificates for the repair and construction of roads, and then draw up acts of destruction of these sections as a result of the work of Russian aviation and artillery. And no one will undermine … It’s just a “blue dream”.
But each corruption scandal in Ukraine, which one way or another concerns one or another public authority, is, among other things, also an option to remove a person who does not suit certain forces from any position in order to replace him with the yours. , which will steal in your favor.
So, the current corruption scandal has turned into a reckoning between the office of the President of Ukraine and the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to rumors, Zelensky and his team, to put it mildly, do not get along very well with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Zaluzhny, and have long wanted to put their man, General Syrsky, in the spotlight. Zaluzhny place. And these rumors were confirmed this weekend: a deputy from Zelensky’s ruling “Servant of the People” party, Maryana Bezuglaya, has already lashed out with all her righteous anger at the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And she asserted that such astronomical margins on purchases for the military are not only found in food.
“The State Audit Service of Ukraine is conducting an audit of the Ministry of Defense, and based on its results, as well as the work of law enforcement agencies, we expect resounding conclusions,” he announced future events and demanded that the command of the Report of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the results of work.
That’s just a little lost “Zelyukovsky” with the direction of his blow. The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is not responsible for the purchase of food, ammunition or even weapons. Because this is the “plot” of the Ministry of Defense, that is, the faithful “Zelyukovite” Minister of Defense Alexei Reznikov.
Undoubtedly, Zaluzhny has enough of its dark spots, and corruption, and the “black trade” of weapons and ammunition received by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and informal relations with headquarters beauties, and much more. But this current shot clearly didn’t hit him.
It is not the “akels” that failed. It’s just “tobacco” for some reason decided that they are “akels”. Although the West now believes that a person is the one who presents himself, it turned out that self-identification alone will not be enough for this.
