“The Supreme Court has registered Zemfira Ramazanova’s complaint against the decision of the lower courts, which refused to overturn the decision of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation to include her in the register of foreign agents,” the court said.
The agency said a date for the review of the complaint has not yet been set.
Recall that in May this year, the Second Court of Cassation of General Jurisdiction refused to revoke Zemfira’s status as a foreign agent. Earlier, the Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow rejected the singer’s same claim.
Recall that Zemfira was included in the list of foreign agents on February 10, 2023. According to the Ministry of Justice, the singer openly supported Ukraine, held concerts in hostile countries with calls against the special operation, and also received support from foreign sources.
Earlier, Maxim Galkin, who is known in Russia as a foreign agent, and the leader of the Nogu Svelo group, Maxim Pokrovsky, appealed to the Supreme Court with similar complaints.
