No, this is not “of the unpublished”, as it was, for example, after the death of Michael Jackson, when suddenly there were records that had not been heard before. We are talking about the proven hit “And the White Sand on the Sea” – this song by the composer Andrei the Terrible with the verses of Ekaterina Rakova Zhanna, released in 2009, when he was already performing solo.
Today it is hard to believe that this very simple and unpretentious song made it to the top of the charts. Probably, the whole point is in the performer – Zhanna Friske, who did not even have outstanding vocal abilities, filled all her songs with her bright charm.
The soloists of “Brilliant” Ksenia Novikova and Nadya Ruchka reported on their social networks that a new version of the song “And the white sand on the sea” will be released in the very near future. “Brilliant feat. Zhanna Friske (feat. – English presentation abbreviation – “with participation”. – Ed.). Coming soon on all platforms! – Novikova wrote. Both singers posted short videos of themselves listening to her performance of a fragment of the song. From Ksenia’s statement it is clear that the new version is performed by a trio – Zhanna will be the third. Obviously, the soundtrack of the original performance was used for the recording.
Paying tribute to the memory of a deceased legend by singing their song is a pretty standard trick. Mixing the voices of a live performer with the recording of an artist who no longer exists was not invented yesterday either. However, the retrograde subscribers of Novikova and Ruchka were outraged: they say, hands off the saint! However, a small scandal never stopped anything from being promoted.
To restart the bunting, mid-July is the perfect time. The memory of Jeanne, who passed away in 2015 (only 6 years after singing the sea, the sand and the carelessness of summer) is still alive in the hearts of her fans. And who better than the artists of “Brillante” to try to give an old song a new sound?
Imperceptible sadness and then hidden somewhere between the lines of the chorus. Now this sadness will obviously be more.
