A few days ago it was revealed that Japanese figure skating legend Yuzuru Hayu will have an incredible collaboration with mangaka group CLAMP to release an illustrated book about his latest performance on ice ICE STORY 2023 GIFT.
As we know, this event took place over the weekend at the Tokyo Dome, where he presented a program that the young man himself compiled with the support of Sekkisei, but it looks like we already have a preview of what this special book will be like.
Franchise creators such as Cardcaptor Sakura, Chobits, xxxHolic, Blood-C and more are preparing to release this illustrated book, which will also be written by Hanyu himself and published by Kodansha.
And to warm up the engines, they showed the first illustration as part of this collaboration between CLAMP and the two-time Olympic figure skating champion.
As you can see, CLAMP’s art reflects very well, presenting a very poetic version of Yuzuru Hanyu, with some of the outfits he introduced during his performance, as well as himself and a cute magical creature wearing what looks like a watch.
