After Akira Toriyama’s departure, the Dragon Ball Super manga was put on hiatus from which it never emerged, but it looks like good news is on the way, and while the Superhero arc was the last thing seen, it’s a fact that the story will continue at Toyotaro’s hands.
Through a video released on the franchise’s official website, it was confirmed that Toyotaro is becoming the creative person in charge of this saga, and with that in mind, he sent out a message so that all fans could rest a little easier. Here’s what he said:
“With the Moro fight and all, I enjoyed seeing the poll results (on Goku’s best fights). But I won’t stop there, I plan to continue creating many exciting fights for the fans to enjoy. So I hope everyone is keeping an eye on my work!”

While it has been confirmed that Toyotaro will still be in charge of disseminating more information about Dragon Ball Super, there is no tentative date or month for the manga’s return yet, but good news is coming little by little and it will only be a matter of time before we learn more about this saga.
It’s also nice to know that Victory Uchida, the manga editor, is aware of the situation and has decided to step up and announce what’s coming in the story so that there’s no more unknowns about what’s going to happen to Dragon Ball Super in Akira Toriyama’s absence.
Not all is lost, as October will see the premiere of the anime series Dragon Ball Daima, one of the last works in which the beloved author took part.
