Dragonball: AI turns Trunks and androids into hyper-realistic creatures | spaghetti code

If there’s one episode of Dragon Ball that really excites fans, it’s the story of Future Trunks, a tragic character that Toriyama came up with right after the Freeze Saga ended. There are several reasons why we love this episode: it’s a sci-fi adventure, it’s heavily inspired by the Terminator, it’s full of time travel, and it features some of the best mangaka character designs. For this reason, we loved the following fan art so much, which shows us what these warriors would look like in a hyper-realistic style.

Looking at the work done by Maxim Chao, we have to note the incredible similarity he achieved with these AI-generated characters and the characters designed by Sensei Akira Toriyama. And the thing is, if we see the hyper-realistic Future Trunks and Android No. 18 that we have lines above, we have to admit that both in terms of clothing and body characteristics, both are very similar to their manga counterparts.

Thus, we can see Trunks with his purple hair and his classic sword, as well as the blonde Android #18 in a distinctive denim jacket. Of course, both are depicted in the middle of the desert, where many times Akira Toriyama led his characters to fight.

In the next image of Maxim Chao, we again see a couple of androids from the future, although this time they are android #17 and android #16, two of Goku’s deadliest enemies. Interestingly, Android 17’s face looks suspiciously like Tom Cruise’s, not to mention Android 16, which looks exactly like Arnold Schwarzenegger in his prime.

And you, what do you think of this AI Dragon Ball fan art?
