After DC’s restructuring plans, including the cancellation of Wonder Woman 3 or the rumor that there will be no more Superman movies, James Gunn had already spoken about it.
Due to the new direction and focus of the DC Universe, many decisions were made that may impact your business or transition. Through Twitter, the director of DC Films has shared a thread to give clarity on how the situation is in regard to what comes with this new universe.
“Some of the information published in the Hollywood Reporter may be true, some may not be true, some is missing and still needs to be confirmed,” said the spokesperson. “As for other information, we’re still collecting facts and trying to get confirmation.”
Meanwhile, the President took to his Twitter account after the first month of being in charge in DC. He recognized that the next ten years of history will begin with this fruitful month.
“There are a lot of negative viewpoints on the shift to digital comics, but these drawbacks have been dwarfed by the creative possibilities and the opportunity to build on what has worked so far at DC.”
Creators are mindful that not everyone will be happy with how their film is evolving: “But we can promise that everything we do is in the service of the DC STORY and CHARACTERS that they appreciate and have appreciated all our lives,” James Gunn commented.
After the departure of James Gunn and Peter Safran from DC, it seems that we’ll see drastic changes to the film, but fans are asking for change for our current superheroes as well.
If there are any other changes to be made for the new DC universe, what are they?
