Date: September 11, 2024 Time: 12:21:45

This year, an anime series was released that captivated the entire audience and kept them in suspense, and yes, it is Kaiju No. 8, a work that has been one of the most popular so far in 2024, and no doubt that many were left wanting more, but it seems that the wait will not last as long as one might think.

In celebration of the birthday of Kafka Hibino, the story’s protagonist, the anime’s official website has confirmed that the second season, previously announced after episode 12 aired, is set to premiere sometime in 2025, but that’s not all.

The news also revealed a special video that collected some scenes from the first season, and it was revealed that there would be a special episode called “Hoshina’s Day Off.” Both projects will be shown in Japanese theaters by 2025 as well, and there will even be a live event featuring the anime’s voice actors at Kannai Hall on June 1, 2025.

Here we leave you with the first commercial for the second season of the anime “Kaiju No. 8”.

On the other hand, it has been confirmed that Crunchyroll will once again be the platform that will stream the second season, we just have to wait to see if it will do so in the same format as the first one or change its streaming plan.

The Kaiju No. 8 anime is directed by Shigeyuki Miya under the Production I.G banner, with scripts by Ichiro Okouchi and character designs and animation by Tetsuya Nishio.

Kaiju No. 8 will be an adaptation of the manga of the same name created by Naoya Matsumoto, which launched on the Shonen Jump+ platform in July 2020 and can be read in the West via Manga Plus.
