Over the years, I have had countless times to listen to fights or even intense debates about why manga is better than anime or vice versa, but I think that we all have something in common, and that is that for the most part, nothing can compare to the original work, even the animated adaptation, because the details are very different from each other. I think both you and I agree with this.
However, there seem to be a few instances where the anime becomes a bit more loved than the manga, and it’s not because they have nothing to do with each other, but because they just add a bit more than the original story. and can go as far as to add a little, yes, all with the permission of the author or the author, since they are the main overseers to ensure that everything goes the way they would like.
These are what we call filler chapters or are known that way and we have several examples such as Sailor Moon, Trigun or even Naruto, the latter is one of the most famous that contains a large number of these episodes and can be developed into within the anime, and although they are not directly related to the manga, we know that they also do not affect it and do not change anything, you can say that they add more adventure to our main characters.
I don’t know which type of filler was the most tedious because not only Naruto had many episodes of this type, we have some other anime series like Bleach, Knights of the Zodiac, Sailor Moon and even Inuyasha. Of course, among the fans there are those who are nicer than others, but that’s not why they became the favorites of many, but believe it or not, this situation is necessary.
Many of the titles we’ve seen begin broadcasting when the original story, in this case the manga, is at an advanced publishing stage, so studios have a long way to go to adapt the story, perhaps before or after a certain period. chapters, they manage to spice up the extra material that later comes out in the publications of these stories so that it will be considered canon or maybe not much, but we know it is taken directly from the original.
