Having reams of details surrounding Mario over the past few years, it comes as no surprise that Nintendo has revealed many new ones in the trailers for their film adaptation. One detail that has remained hidden until now is one that appeared in a McDonald’s advertisement.
There are plenty of characters that fans would expect to see in the movie. Some examples include Peach, Luigi, Donkey Kong, Bowser, Toad, and Mario. Other characters may also be included such as Yoshi and generic ones like Koopas, Goombas, and Bob-bombs.
Super Mario Galaxy introduced Luma, who continues to appear in any game starring Yoshi and also appears in games like Captain Toad. And Luma is adorable, so of course, we get to meet the lovely Rosalina!
This leak, which is a McDonald’s advertisement, leads us to believe that the upcoming Nintendo Switch game, Super Mario Bros. 3, will release with the Happy Meal in Japan as well as Mexico. We don’t know if they’ll be available elsewhere yet, though!
