The last days of Ash Ketchum’s trainer are approaching, which will be shown with the premiere of Pokemon: Aim To Be A Pokemon Master, a special arc dedicated to Ash Ketchum and Pikachu that just showed a start full of nostalgia.
This new opening sequence is animated by the “with my friends” theme song performed by Riki Matsumoto. Get ready because his scenes are a love letter to fans ever since Ash started his journey 25 years ago in Pallet Town.
The episodes of Pokemon: Aim To Be A Pokemon Master will, according to the official release, “offer a glimpse of what the future might hold” for Ash, but they also refer to it as the “final episodes” along with Ash and Pikachu.
This adventure will see the return of familiar characters like Misty and Brooke, old rivals like Gary Oak, or the inseparable trio of Team Rocket villains Jesse Jamesems and Meowth.
The final episodes with Ash and Pikachu will premiere on Japanese TV in Tokyo on January 13, with a big farewell expected at the end of March 2023, just in time for the premiere of the next arc with new main characters.
