The adventures of the smartest and maddest scientist in the universe and his grandson are getting close to starting a new chapter in anime thanks to Rick and Morty: Anime, which recently got off to an incredible start with some amazing animation.

Some time ago, Rick and Morty started their approach to anime with a series of quite excellent short films created entirely in Japanese animation format, which has generated a lot of interest among fans of the series and cartoons from the Land of the Rising Sun. this new way to bring the adventures of a scientist and his grandson to life. As such, a few months later, it was confirmed that the Adult Swim show would have a more formal adaptation within that animation genre, with a series centered entirely on it, which will finally premiere this year under the title Rick and Morty: Anime.

The series, written and directed by Takeshi Sano and produced by Sola Entertainment, showed off its incredible opening just this weekend during San Diego Comic-Con, showcasing the impressive animation work they’ve done, at least for the opening scene, which is just impressive because it’s very tied to new trends in the industry, we see it combine different styles of animation to create a whole visual experience that will possibly star in each of the 10 episodes that will be in the first season.

On the other hand, in terms of the story, we see this new character, a blonde girl who seems to be a big deal in Morty’s life as he explores the multiverse with his grandfather.
