Toyotaro is back with his wonderful monthly Dragon Ball character illustrations, and this time Shallot is the protagonist of his new work, which is simply gorgeous.

As many of you already know, month after month, the good Toyotaro, in addition to working on the Dragon Ball Super manga, which is currently adapting the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie in illustrated and written form, also finds time to create various drawings. characters that are sometimes hard to remember for some and may be completely unknown to others, but who are undeniably iconic in the work of Akira Toriyama, although this time he completely departs from manga and anime to give life to a very special character.

This is Shallot, an ancient Saiyan from Universe 7’s planet Sadala, who first appears in the franchise as the protagonist of Dragon Ball Legends, a popular free-to-play video game for mobile devices. The character is clearly not part of the franchise’s canon, and as such, we’ve never seen him in either the anime or manga; however, with this drawing of Toyotaro, we can get an idea of what it would look like in the pages of Shonen Jump.

Could this be an early announcement that the Saiyan will finally be making an appearance in the series, as many fans have been wishing for for years? Maybe not, but it’s still great to see this as part of the mangaka’s monthly artwork, it would be great if he dedicates at least one shot to the character in the future, although we know that to do so, he must first get the approval of Akira Toriyama, the creator of this representative warrior races.

What do you think of this Saiyajinde Dragon Ball Legends illustration by Toyotaro?
