The wave of “oldies but cute” continues to wow its fans now that the studio behind the animation of Soul Eater has unveiled an image to celebrate the anniversary of its anime adaptation.
Soul Eater, a short story by mangaka Atsushi Okubo, technically marks two anniversaries: on the one hand, the manga was published 20 years ago in June 2003 in Square Enix’s Shonen Gangan magazine. Some time later, the series received an animated adaptation by BONES that premiered in April 2008 (15 years ago) for which this illustration is now split with silhouettes of its main characters Mackie Albarn and Soul Evans.
As if that wasn’t enough, it’s also been revealed that there will be a special anime-related broadcast on the occasion of this anniversary on April 7, 2023. You can imagine fans of this anime are already theorizing about what might be announced, (probably an anime broadcast , as it will be with Kinnikuman or ZOIDS, although this has yet to be confirmed).
The Soul Eater anime consists of 51 episodes, which you can watch on Crunchyroll both in the original language with subtitles and dubbed in Latin Spanish.
