The creator of hits like Your Name and Wheatering shared some photos with you from his personal Twitter account (shinkaimakoto) showing you he’s in Mexico… and below we see they received him with pure Mexican-style gifts . style. “We’ve arrived in Mexico City! An unexpected gift was a tequila barrel with the inscription “Shinkai”. good welcome, good I drink a lot of tequila and beer!”
In other photos, we can see that the Suzume director is not alone, as he is accompanied by Suta, a peculiar yellow chair that is part of his new production, which will premiere in mid-April.
But what is Makoto Shinkai doing in Mexico just a few days after the premiere of Suzume? Based on other previous tui, we can conclude that this famous Japanese director is on a promotional tour for his new film, which will be released in Mexico on April 13, 2023.
