The anime series Trigun Stampede brought us a new vision of this world, created by Yasuhiro Nightou and closer to the manga published in 1998, but one of the characters has a big influence in the narrative and even on our main character.
In several chapters of the anime, we have seen how the black-haired woman was part of the past of the twins, Vash and Knives, as she seems to be an important part of the development of these characters and brings us the current story as well as the development of both.
We start with Rem being part of a special Project SEEDS team trying to colonize space after the Earth has collapsed. Meanwhile, she had a mission to grow two independent plants so that when the time comes, help humanity with other plants (which are not like them).
Rem took care of them, teaching them the history of humanity and the values that everyone has, as she hopes that they can turn the new desert planet Gunsmoke into a comfortable place and that people can establish themselves with plants. .
However, as the teachings progressed, Vash became kind and curious about humanity, while his brother Knives saw them as a plague willing to abuse resources and also try to subdue everything. I mean, Vash loves people and Knives just hates them.
