young and hungry
Overall, it turned out to be a very good image. The tournament was remotely similar to the M-Global events (in terms of organization), but not surprising, since most of the technical organizers came from there. Pleased with the absence of singing and dancing. The organizers targeted little-known but hungry athletes who put up some good fights. It is strange that MMA was diluted with fights according to the rules of kickboxing, apparently it fell under ONE FC. I was also surprised that title fights consisted of three rounds, not five.
If we talk about the level of foreigners, we are talking about Brazilians, so they are frankly weak, yes, it was spectacular, but it was a door. There just wasn’t proper competition.
Separately, I wanted to touch the belts. The organization does not have a roster, all fighters sign a contract for a specific fight, why are these belts needed? They have no value except for the production cost of this belt.
I was a bit surprised by the lulls between the main card battles. Was it impossible to prepare the fighters for the start in advance?
Gamzat Hiramagomedov suffered a second defeat from Dauren Ermekov. In the first round, Gamzat dominated the standing position, but in the second he missed a pass to the legs and was choked by the arm.
We saw a lot of interesting things and a lot of money invested, but unfortunately it wasn’t the sports component that was invested.
In the main battle there was a standard image for such organizations. The imported and nameless Mondragón went flying already in the first round, thrown on the canvas in two falls and refusing to continue the fight. Why couldn’t a competitive duel be held? It remains in the conscience of the organizers.
We can say that Ural FC is a short story. Yes, a beautiful photo, guest stars, but nothing more. No one will remember any of the fights in this tournament tomorrow. He forgot…
