In Vladivostok, on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU), a scientific and practical conference was held within the framework of the international student festival of electronic sports and computer science “Battle for Science – 2023”, organized on the site of the VIII Eastern Economic Forum.
The event discussed the prospects for the development of computer sports and the gaming industry in Russia and the Far East. The precondition for the debate was the actively growing segment of new sports – electronic sports and computer sports. In addition to the sports and economic component, there is also an educational component: many opinion leaders of our youth are now “on the other side of the barricades”, we often hear the opinion that computer games are not useful.
