Tonight Alexander Emelianenko will have another fight in his long and in some places even glorious career. The famous athlete will compete with MMA blogger, singer and pop fighter Yevgeny Ershov. Surprisingly, Emelianenko enters the fight as an outsider. After another difficult period, Alexander simply did not have time to get in shape – at press conferences, Phoenix seemed overweight and somewhat sluggish. Let’s see if Emelianenko can keep up with Yershov.

Alexander is also against the fact that he has already lost to bloggers, albeit with good sports training. Six months ago, Emelianenko came out to fight Svyatoslav Kovalenko, known only for his performances in pop MMA. Kovalenko was not only infinitely inferior to the Phoenix in experience, but he also weighed 34 kilograms less than the brother of the Last Emperor! It seemed that one accurate blow would be enough for Alexander to take on Kovalenko, but in reality everything turned out quite differently.
Svyatoslav used the tactics of Artyom Tarasov, another Internet star. Tarasov, in a duel with Emelianenko, did not hesitate to flee in any dangerous situation, which was a good choice. So Kovalenko deftly fled from the legendary heavyweight as soon as he was within dangerous distance. However, Svyatoslav did not forget to attack: twice he brought down the veteran, where he literally miraculously escaped finishing. It is not for nothing that after the results of three rounds, Emelianenko lost to Kovalenko by court decision, which became a great sensation.
The reason for the failure was simple – Alexander was moving too slowly and did not have time to react to the opponent’s blows, although before the fight it seemed that he had managed to regain a decent form. Now Emelianenko looks much worse than before Kovalenko. It is not clear why Alexander will be able to defeat Ershov, unless he hits the singer with a strong missed blow. Let’s hope both participants in the fight maintain their health as a result. And I want Emelianenko to take a break later to improve his condition.
