Eight KHL regular season games were played on September 16. Let’s summarize them.
Neftekhimik is stagnant at the start of this season, just like last regular season. The match in Chelyabinsk took place under the new brand “Ural Derby”: the uniforms of the players and referees were designed specifically for this event. The most lively match of the day took place in Kazan. The striking 17-year-old two-meter defenseman Anton Silaev became the scorer of the youngest torpedo goal in KHL history, and Vadim Shipachev set the KHL regular championship record for points scored, surpassing Sergei Mozyakin.
