The media club advanced thanks to two controversial penalties.

Amkal is the last media football club in the Russian Cup. In the 1/64 final they had to travel to Dolgoprudny to play against “Cosmos”. Due to several controversial refereeing decisions, the match turned out to be full of action.

Cosmos is a club from the Second League. And Amkal has players with experience of playing in the RPL. Therefore, the media team did not experience any fear. The atmosphere of the match was also enhanced by the Salyut stadium, one of whose stands had not passed the permit and was empty.

“The deputy governor said: the money is not coming, call. The number was not available.” Sharp Diakov

From the first minutes, Amkal had no qualms about going forward. However, Cosmos responded with their own approaches. But they never posed any real danger. Although midway through the half, David Agekyan fired a very dangerous cross into the home team’s box. However, the ball did not find either of the team’s partners.

Amkal’s pressure paid off in the 35th minute. After Agekyan’s long-range shot, the ball hit Cosmos midfielder Anton Tretyakov’s hand and referee Roman Marnavsky awarded a penalty. However, on replays it appears that the Amkal player hit the opponent in the back. A controversial decision by the referee. One of the media club’s leaders, Maxim Pichugin, approached the 11-meter mark. He converted the penalty and celebrated the goal in the style of Chelsea midfielder Christopher Nkunku: he blew up a balloon.

Amkal went into the break with a minimal lead. But at the beginning of the second half, it faded away. Kosmos midfielder Kirill Pomeshkin completed the cross and sent the ball into Maxim Shvagirev’s goal. 1:1 – the home fans are happy.

And then the goalkeepers of both teams exchanged the best saves. First, Shvagirev caught a header from Cosmos defender Artyom Yapryntsev. In response, Amir Fattakhov cleared the ball from under the crossbar after a long-range attempt by Arseniy Levshuk.

In the 65th minute, the referee again awarded a penalty to the Cosmos goal! Once again, there are big issues to be addressed. Marnavsky saw the ball hit Tretyakov in the Cosmos box. But not a single replay proved that the decision was 100% correct.

And the penalty was again converted with confidence by Pichugin, who scored a brace. And again, a fun celebration at the corner flag. However, Cosmos will probably have big questions for the referee in both penalties.

In the 70th minute, Cosmos had another problem. Rostislav Naimushin received a straight red card for disrupting a potential goal-scoring attack. This moment is probably the least controversial of all the referee’s important decisions during the match. Until the end of the match, “Cosmos” never found its moment. But Amkal could have scored more: Pichugin missed a good chance to score a hat-trick, and in the end, substitute Damir Tregulov missed into the far corner after a shot from outside the box.

Amkal is in the third round of the Russian Cup. The team set a personal best in the tournament and repeated last year’s achievement at 2DROTS. The media club looked no worse than Cosmos, but due to the controversial decisions of the judges, one can speak of the referee’s bias towards Amkal.

In the first round of the Cup, Amkal took part in a suspicious match:

What is known about the strange game “Amkala” in the Kyrgyz Republic. Aren’t there many arguments in favor of “passing” the game?
