Belarusian tennis player Victoria Azarenka has opened up about her feelings after being booed at Wimbledon.
“It was unfair. It is what it is. Yeah, I feel like it’s been in the last 18-19 months. I didn’t do anything wrong, but sometimes they keep treating me differently,” RT quotes Azarenka.
The incident occurred after the fourth round match with the Ukrainian Elina Svitolina. Svitolina herself, having won with a score of 2: 6, 6: 4, 7: 6 (11: 9), did not shake hands with her opponent.
The Ukrainian in the Wimbledon quarterfinals will play against the Pole Igi Swiatek.
