The current president of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), Aleksander Čeferin, has been approved as the only candidate for the organization’s presidential elections, according to the UEFA website.
Elections are scheduled for April 5, when the 47th UEFA Congress will take place in Lisbon (Portugal).
Čeferin was elected president of UEFA in September 2016 and was re-elected to this term with no alternative in February 2019 at a congress in Rome.
The deadline for the nomination of candidates to the UEFA Executive Committee is also set at February 5.
