CSKA and Zenit bought legionnaires, Loko strengthened the defense. Transfers of the last days in RPL

Date: June 22, 2024 Time: 14:22:14

There is less than a month left until the start of the new season in the RPL – the first round is scheduled for July 20. While the teams are on vacation, the directors of the clubs actively work to strengthen the team. We talk about the latest transactions in the RPL. All amounts in brackets correspond to Transfermarkt.

RPL transfers that took place last week:

Spartak sold the striker, Krasnodar took the defender. What signings have already happened in the RPL

Gustavo Mantuan: Corinthians → Zenit (€3M)

The most expensive signing of the week in the RPL was made by Zenit. Azul-Blanco-Azul bought the rights of the Brazilian Mantuan, as announced by the general director of the club, Alexander Medvedev. Before, the footballer himself expressed the desire to stay at Zenit, since he was already used to the city and his teammates. Mantua first of all showed himself perfectly as a joker. Last season he scored six goals, four-after coming on as a substitute (second result on the team).

Interestingly, at Corinthians, Mantouan scored six goals in 43 games, while at Zenit it took him 29 games to do so. But in the Brazilian club he spent 2179 minutes on the field, and in the Russian – only 921. It is possible that Gustavo will have more playing time in the new season, especially if Zenit still sells someone from the attacking group.

Ilya Samoshnikov: Rubin → Lokomotiv (free agent)

The fact that Samoshnikov was leaving Rubin became known a week and a half ago. It was then that the press service of the Kazan club announced that the player would leave as a free agent. By the way, his contract expires on June 30. Samoshnikov himself emphasized that he stayed at Rubin, despite leaving the RPL at the end of the 2021/2022 season. According to the player, he felt involved in the fall of the team. A season later, Rubin returned to the “tower”, and 25-year-old Samoshnikov left the club with a clear conscience.

The footballer signed a contract with Lokomotiv until 2026. It is curious that Samoshnikov made his debut for Rubin right in the match with the railwaymen. Three years ago, Ilya went to the left flank of the defense, but this did not help his team much. The Kazan club “burned out” 0: 2, and Alexey Miranchuk sent both balls into his goal. After that, Samoshnikov played another 86 matches in the Rubin jersey and scored ten points in the “goal + pass” system: 5+5.

Moses: International → CSKA Moscow (€2.30 M)

The Brazilian defender ended up in Russia last summer and played the season on loan. CSKA had the opportunity to activate the buy-back option, and the army team took advantage of this right. According to the general director of the club, Roman Babaev, the parties discussed additional nuances of the agreement. It is for this reason that the official announcement came a bit later than originally planned. The CSKA coach highlighted that Moisés, 28, was not only perfect, but also earned the affection of the fans.

By the way, last month the defender was suspected of gambling fraud. At least, that information was published by the O Globo edition. According to him, Moises deliberately received a yellow card in one of the matches of the Brazilian championship in order to later withdraw money. Naturally, the army team carefully studied the issue and even contacted the Brazilian Football Federation. Judging by the fact that they activated the buyback option, the suspicions were not justified.

Roman Akbashev: Fakel → Rostov (free agent)

Akbashev made a significant contribution to Fakel’s successful performance at the end of the season. The Voronezh club has played seven games since Vadim Evseev’s appointment as head coach and won five. Akbashev scored five goals in this period, an excellent indicator for a player from an external club. Under Evseev, an interesting pattern appeared: if Akbashev scored, then the team would definitely win.

Akbashev will play for the new club next season. On June 6, Fakel announced the player’s departure due to contract expiration. Immediately after, Roman himself published a post on social networks and, in the traditional way for such cases, thanked the management, coaches and fans. Rostov has not yet officially announced the transfer of Akbashev, but the information about the transfer has already been confirmed by Fakel’s sports director Kirill Kotov. According to him, the 31-year-old footballer was offered a lot of money by the Don club. In such a situation, it was unrealistic to keep the player on the Torch.

Vyacheslav Litvinov: Krasnodar → Sochi (1 million euros)

Last season was the first full season for the central defender in Krasnodar. Litvinov played in both the RPL (18 games) and the First League (five games) for the second team of the bulls. In the spring part, Vyacheslav entered the field five times in the top division, but played only two full games. Litvinov changed his place of work, but he will not have to go far: he was bought by another club from the Krasnodar Territory. It is true that the “bulls” have a primary right to buy back. At the end of 2022, interest in the Boavista player was reported, but even so, this option seemed unlikely. The Portuguese considered the price of a footballer too high.

Artur Galoyan: Alania → Baltika (€600,000)

Baltika continues to strengthen the roster for the first time in 25 years that the team has reached the “tower”. Last week, the club completed the transfer of Portuguese defender Joao Lameira, and now the best assistant in the First League is leaving for Kaliningrad. A graduate of the Torpedo Academy, Galoyan played only one season in Alania, and that was enough for him to receive an offer from the RPL club. The 23-year-old attacking midfielder has signed a contract until 2027. Last season he set a good record: eight goals and 13 assists in 30 games. Alania, for well-known reasons, flew past the joints, but Galoyan got a chance to play in the RPL.

Vyacheslav Yakimov: Krasnodar → Fakel (€70,000)

Yakimov spent only six months on loan in Voronezh, but with his game he convinced the Torch bosses to pay transfer money. The Krasnodar graduate played 13 games in the spring part of the season and scored one assist. In Voronezh, Yakimov got a stable playing practice, which he did not have in the “bulls”. Vyacheslav entered the field with Dmitry Pyatibratov and Vadim Evseev, which speaks of his importance for the team. Last summer, Fakel bought just one player: Ilnur Alshin paid €120,000, the rest of the newcomers arrived on loan or as free agents. I wonder if they’ll buy someone else this time.

Vladislav Volkov: “The Seagull” → “Akhmat” (100 thousand €)

Central defender Volkov has never played in the RPL before. This should come as no surprise when looking at the list of clubs in the 23-year-old’s career. Strogino, Rodina, Chaika – Vladislav played with these teams exclusively in the Second League. In the 2020/2021 season, he played for Rodina together with Alexei Kashtanov (now Ural) and scored 10 goals. Even if it’s all from the penalty spot, but you have to admit, it’s still a decent gauge for a defender. Volkov spent last season at Chaika, where in recent games he took the field with the captain’s armband. By the way, Vladislav knows Sergey Tashuev well, under whose leadership he played in the 2021/2022 season.

Lars Olden Larsen: Pari NN → NEC Nijmegen (€325,000)

Lars Alden Larsen

In February 2022, Larsen moved to Russia from Norway and Pari NN paid €400 thousand. The Scandinavian was only a month and a half in the new country (he played four matches), after which he suspended the contract. He went on loan to Swedish Hacken (36 games, 12 goals, eight assists), where he won the league title with the team. Holland is the next step in the 24-year-old’s career. “Pari NN” finally said goodbye to the player and collaborated in his transfer with a little less than what he paid a year and a half ago.
