It is reported that Zenit will receive 2 million euros in compensation for the Croat. This is an important moment, because before the expiration of the contract with the St. Petersburg club, Lovren had 6 months left.
The well-known agent Dmitry Selyuk shared his opinion about this transfer.
– I want to emphasize right away that Lovren acted decently, and not even because his contract expires in six months, because he could easily suspend the contract, as many legionnaires in the RPL did. FIFA allowed them that option. Otherwise, Zenit will continue to receive 2 million for the player, so for Zenit it is a good offer.
NOTE
Lovren previously played for Lyon in 2010-2013. The footballer signed for Zenit in 2020.
At the 2022 World Cup, Dejan won the bronze medal as part of the Croatian national team.
