In the 50s this phrase was abandoned, it happened in 1951. In Leningrad, the local Dynamo and Wings of the Soviets (Kuibyshev) played. In the second half, due to rain, the game had to be interrupted, because the pitch turned into a lake. There was no way to play in such conditions. The match was repeated just two months later.

Now imagine the environment. Meteorologists predict 14 minutes. Usually, the daily temperature is indicated in the forecast. And according to the regulations, at minus 15 and under, you can only play with the consent of the teams.

And then there are the players. They are not robots, but real people. It’s not much fun to play in this cold. In addition, in such weather, the risk of injury is greatly increased. At the same time, it should be noted how many foreigners from heat-loving countries are in the composition of both teams.
Even if the temperature is minus 14, a degree higher than what is specified in the regulation, in which it is possible to make the decision to postpone the game, I urge you to cut through the bureaucracy and address the problem based on reality. . I’m sure the match must be rescheduled.
REGULATION ARTICLE
In July 2018, the Executive Committee of the Russian Football Union approved a new medical regulation for the Russian Football Premier League championship. Among other things, he detailed the weather conditions under which the championship meetings can be held.
Article 5 of the regulation is dedicated to the weather conditions of the matches. Points out that the match delegate has the right to require the match organizer to ensure that ambient air temperature measurements in the stadium are carried out 3 hours, 2 hours and 1 hour before the start of the match in the presence of the refereeing team. .
If the ambient temperature is below minus 15 degrees or above 35 degrees Celsius, the delegate must request the consent to participate in the match from both teams and immediately inform the league management about the receipt or non-receipt of such consent.
The same in the recommendations and in the UEFA regulations.

The 1/4 final match of the Russian Cup between Spartak and Lokomotiv is scheduled for tomorrow, February 22. It starts at 20:00 Moscow time. The game will take place at the RZD Arena. The second leg at the Otkritie Bank Arena is scheduled for February 27.
