Dynamo and CSKA are dragged by young leaders. But who has them better?

Date: September 29, 2023 Time: 12:36:36

Dynamo and CSKA live in anticipation of transfers. Clubs need players to close problematic positions. Now Marcel Lichka and Vladimir Fedotov are being helped by young people. And he’s taking advantage of his opportunities! On the eve of the derby, a valuable asset of the Moscow clubs was compared.

In Dynamo, the experienced Anton Shunin and Igor Leshchuk are competing for a place at the gate. Although yesterday, August 18, the club announced the transfer of 19-year-old Andrei Kudravets from BATE. But in CSKA, Vladislav Torop periodically plays instead of Igor Akinfeev. This season, the 19-year-old goalkeeper has made two appearances in the Russian Cup and one in the RPL. Torop conceded three goals, having played a game “to zero”. “Vladislav is a talented guy. Also, don’t forget that we have Ilya Pomazun, who is on loan in the Ural. It is a great happiness for me when the boys progress. To be honest, if I’m on the bench, then I don’t worry about the goal, ”Akinfeev’s Torop is quoted by Match TV.

Defensively, both clubs have several promising players. Dynamo has one of the most important players in the main team – Saba Sazonov. The 21-year-old Georgian has appeared on the pitch with particular frequency since the spring of 2022. Saba made 33 appearances in all competitions last season. In the current campaign, he lost his place at the start, but still spent 54 minutes in the RPL and a cup meeting with Krasnodar (4: 3). In July, L’Equipe reported that Sazonov might move to Lyon. But for now, he remains at Dynamo.

Another defender who broke into the blue and white base is Stanislav Bessmertny. In 2018, he moved from the CSKA academy to Dynamo. As a point guard, Stanislav made his debut in the July Cup match with Pari NN. And in the game of the 4th round of the RPL with Baltika (2: 0) he became the author of the goal. Bessmertny acts on the right flank of the defense, replacing Sergei Parshivlyuk and Eli Dasa. Without a doubt, Marcel Lichka will give the talented 19-year-old footballer more than one chance.

In CSKA, Vladimir Fedotov relies on three young players at once. In the first round of the Russian Cup with Orenburg (6:0), Yegor Noskov (as a left back) and Matvey Lukin (in the center of defense) entered the field from the very first minutes. 20-year-old Noskov, who came out in the second half, became the author of an assist for Nikita Ermakov. And Lukin played all 90 minutes. Interestingly, 19-year-old Lukin made his debut at the base last season – in the Russian Cup match with Torpedo.

But the main star of the start of the season in CSKA’s defense is Mikhail Ryadno. The 17-year-old defender appeared on the pitch in the Russian Super Cup match with Zenit, eventually coming on as a substitute. And then Fedotov began to actively release it in the RPL and the Cup. Ryadno already has 247 minutes in the championship, 147 minutes in Cup matches. A beautiful goal at the end, breaking directly into the “nine”.

Ryadno became the second player on the list of the youngest CSKA scorers in the 21st century. He scored the first goal in the RPL at the age of 17 years and 329 days. First place went to Alexander Salugin, who distinguished himself by the army team in 2005 at the age of 17 years and 29 days. “I don’t feel that Fedotov trusts me more than all the youngsters. I just try to show myself, give all the best one hundred percent. I want to become a professional soccer player. Now my goal is to progress with each of those matches. We must try more and not think about current achievements, ”the guy noted after the match with Sochi.

Mikhail also noted that in his game he admires the Berezutsky brothers: “I admire the Berezutskys. He followed Shchennikov. Of course, Mario Fernández is also a technical winger who connects. I also like Ignashevich, but this is not my style anymore. I prefer the attack style. Ignashevich, as for me, is associated with a solid defender.

If we compare the young defenders of Dynamo and CSKA, there is still a slight advantage for the blue and white side. Sazonov is already an accomplished player, a member of the Georgian national team. European teams are interested in Saboy, and at Dynamo he already has a season and a half under his belt. Undoubtedly, in terms of potential, the defenders of the army have every chance to reach Sazonov, but so far Saba is stronger than the CSKA players.

Midfield

Fedotov attracts Kirill Glebov (17 years old), Yaroslav Arbuzov (18 years old), Nikita Ermakov (20 years old) to the CSKA base, and Maxim Mukhin (21 years old) is an already established footballer who came from Loko. In Dinamo, Luka Gagnidze (20 years old), Alexander Kutitsky (21 years old) appear in the midfield, and let’s not forget that Arsen Zakharyan (20 years old), who left for Spain, recently helped the team.

Is Zakharyan’s transfer a repeat of Arshavin’s move to England?

The story of the transfer of Zakharyan reminds a little. Arshavin appears to have fled to Arsenal

CSKA uses in its system two defensive midfielders, as well as two insiders who perform functions similar to the “dozens”. Mukhin is a defensive midfielder by profile, but in several games he came out closer to attacking. The meeting with Lokomotiv was especially successful: Maxim scored a brace against the former club, from which he moved to CSKA in 2021. In total this season, Mukhin spent 313 minutes in the RPL and 88 in the Cup. The 21-year-old footballer he’s a smart point guard, an important element of Fedotov’s team.

Glebov and Arbuzov are getting closer to the lineup. Kirill spent 45 minutes in the RPL (with Sochi) and came on as a substitute in the Cup with Fakel. Arbuzov scored eight minutes in the RPL with Ural and Loko. And in the Cup, Yaroslav played two matches for Orenburg (he scored one goal) and Fakel. Both Glebov and Arbuzov are considered by Fedotov as offensive players, appearing in the inside position.

Nikita Ermakov actively came on as a substitute in the 2022/2023 season (there were 22 matches in the RPL). Fedotov uses a 20-year-old soccer player as a prankster. In the new season, Ermakov continues to appear on the field from the bench. He has played three games in the RPL (46 minutes) and two games (135 minutes) in the Cup. For Nikita, the cup match with Orenburg was a success: he scored and gave two assists.

Dynamo have a little less youth in midfield. For example, Zakharyan de facto left the club. Arsene has flown to Spain and is one step away from officially confirming his signing for Real Sociedad. The 20-year-old Russian was the leader of Dynamo’s midfield, creating magic, creating chances and finishing off attacks. Arsene has been in the blue and white system since 2017, and made his debut as a point guard in 2020. This season, Zakharyan has played five games in the RPL and the Cup, scoring two goals and providing one assist. In total, the midfielder has made 89 appearances for Dinamo and 44 (19+25) points. We wish Zakharyan the best of luck in San Sebastian!

But there are two other great midfielders left at Dynamo: Alexander Kutitsky and Luka Gagnidze. The Georgian joined the Moscow club in 2021. Kutitsky is a Dynamo graduate.

Gagnidze played for the team for the first time only in the 2022/2023 season, but he became an important player in the cage. Luke operates in midfield, primarily performing defensive duties. True, this season Gagnidze, like his compatriot Sazonov, often remains on the bench. In the championship, he scored just 46 minutes in three games, but got 150 minutes in two Cup games. In June, Gagnidze made some noise for Georgia at the Youth EURO, he also has four caps for the main team.

Kutitsky first entered the field for Dynamo in February 2021. Alexander appeared for eight minutes in the cup match with Spartak. The midfielder was actively used by Slavisa Jokanovic already in the 2022/2023 season. He scored 1222 minutes. Kutitsky sometimes appeared not even in the support zone, but in the center of defense. His profile is to return the ball to his team. In the 2023/2023 season, Alexander came out a few times (10 minutes in the RPL and one game in the Cup). He influences the factor of the new coach: Marcel Lichka is still looking for the best combinations.

CSKA amusingly trolled Spartak. The reason is the actor of the rojiblanco video:

CSKA trolled Spartak hard after the video with the presentation of the retroform. Video

If we compare the midfield of Dynamo and CSKA now, then the army youth looks preferable. Fedotov has a superior Mukhin + frequently released youngsters. Lichka still does not have Gagnidze and Kutitsky as important players in the squad. And Zakharyan is already in Spain.

Stroke

CSKA does not have young players in attack. Chalov is a 25-year-old striker who has already taken place, and after him, the army team never received reinforcements from the academy. But Dynamo has two great young forwards at once – Yaroslav Gladyshev (20 years old) and Konstantin Tyukavin (21 years old). True, the second is already the leader of Dynamo, but due to age he is still included in the youth category.

Tyukavin made his debut for the main team in November 2020, coming on as a substitute in the match against Tambov. Since then, he has played 96 games and scored 26 goals and provided 17 assists. Konstantin started the new season with success: three goals + one pass in four rounds of the RPL. Especially cool was the match with Zenit (3-2), in which the striker scored a brace. Tyukavin’s contract with Dynamo is valid until June 2024. News about his future is a hot topic. Konstantin is associated with both Dynamo and other RPL clubs. Alexey Safonov, the player’s agent, does not rule out the option with Europe either. Right now, Konstantin is the most promising RPL striker.

Dynamo, CSKA or Europe? Where to continue the Tukavin race:

Tyukavin is the most promising striker in Russia. Here are three options to continue his career.

Gladyshev appeared in the Dynamo base in September 2021. Yaroslav came on as a substitute in the Russian Cup match against Dynamo Stavropol. And in 27 minutes he managed to score. Gladyshev now has 48 appearances for the club, in which he has scored nine goals. In the RPL-2023/2024 season, Yaroslav still has a modest performance (40 minutes in two games), but he managed to score one goal and one effective pass in two Russian Cup meetings with Pari NN and Krasnodar. Considering Dynamo also have Fedor Smolov, Vyacheslav Grulev, Daniil Lesovoy and Denis Makarov, the Blue and Whites have one of the best attacking lines packed with Russians.

As a result, the youth of the army are fresher in the goalkeeper position (there are no alternatives in Dynamo) and in the midfield (Mukhin + Glebov, Ermakov, Arbuzov are actively produced). And the blue and whites have a more interesting defense (at the expense of Sazonov) and attack (the already experienced Chalov and Zabolotny play for CSKA). It turns out that equality or something. And how will the “brotherly” derby between Dynamo and CSKA finally end? And what role will youth play as a result?
