The International Football Federation (FIFA) has launched an investigation into a new incident involving Zambia women’s national team head coach Bruce Mwape, who was previously accused of sexual harassment, The Guardian reports.
FIFA received an official complaint about the alleged incident after Zambia won its first World Cup on Monday, July 31, according to the source. On this day, the Zambians beat Costa Rica (3:1). Several players saw Mwape touching the chest of one of the players after training.
The journalists note that the witnesses wanted to declare this immediately, but feared that this would affect their position. But after the Zambian team, which took third place in group C and flew out of the championship, the witnesses decided to tell what happened.
