Dmitri Khokhlov

Statistics at CSKA (1992-1996): 68 games, 15 goals, 7 assists.

Lokomotiv statistics (2003-2005): 89 games, 13 goals, 6 assists.

For many in Russia, the name Dmitry Khokhlov is primarily associated with Dynamo and Lokomotiv. The time with the railroad workers was memorable in terms of trophies. Lokomotiv is the only club with which Dmitry became champion of Russia. His collection also includes a victory in the country’s Super Cup. In addition, Khokhlov never played for any other Russian club in the main draw of the Champions League.

But few people remember that Dmitry took his first steps at the professional level in CSKA. He studied at the army football school with Vladislav Radimov. He debuted with the main team of CSKA in 1993 and since 1995 has received stable playing practice. It was with the army team that Dmitry first played in European competitions: in 1996 he twice took to the field in qualifying matches for the UEFA Cup. The midfielder later left CSKA and followed coach Alexander Tarkhanov to Torpedo.

Ruslan Nigmatullin

The goalkeeper also became the record holder for the longest streak without conceding a goal in the championship (939 minutes). At the beginning of 2002, Ruslan left for Europe, but never managed to settle in Verona. The goalkeeper would later describe that last year in Italy as a personal tragedy.

In the summer of 2002, Nigmatullin returned to Russia and was rented by CSKA. There the goalkeeper got a place on the team and was one step away from winning the Russian championship. The fate of the title was decided in the “golden” match, in which the military team lost to Nigmatullin’s former club, Lokomotiv (0:1). In the summer of 2023, Ruslan returned to the railway workers, where he received the role of deputy to Sergei Ovchinnikov. Subsequently, Nigmatullin will become the Russian champion as part of the red-green team.

Statistics at Lokomotiv (2021 – current): 85 games, 14 goals, 13 assists.

Rangnick also described this footballer as a great talent capable of going to one of the main European championships in the future. His transfer from CSKA cost Lokomotiv 5.5 million euros. As part of the railroaders, Nair played much more productively and now it is very difficult to imagine the red-greens without this footballer.

Tiknizyan himself stated that his departure from CSKA was partly due to Alexei Berezutsky. According to Nair, he did not understand the coach and did not see him in the squad. This season, Tiknizyan is second in Lokomotiv in goals (six) and in the goal+pass system (nine points).

Maxim Mukhin

Then Mukhin moved to CSKA. After the transition, Maxim emphasized that until the last moment he hoped to stay at Lokomotiv. Mukhin remembered himself at Lokomotiv in August 2023, when he scored a double for his former team in the RPL match (4:1). By the way, the midfielder has already won a trophy with CSKA: at the end of the 2022/2023 season he was proclaimed winner of the Cup.

Statistics at Lokomotiv (2021 – current): 68 games, 5 goals, 7 assists.

The CSKA graduate debuted with the main team in the summer of 2019. In the 2020/2021 season, Konstantin was the main player of the army team (35 matches in all tournaments) and then moved to Lokomotiv. This transfer was one of the most discussed during Ralf Rangnick’s work. CSKA received 7 million euros for the transfer, although the market value was 2.5 million euros (according to Transfermarkt).

Rangnick called Maradishvili a great talent and emphasized that he is capable of becoming the center of attention of clubs in the top 5 leagues in Europe. At the end of 2023, Konstantin went on loan to Paris NN because he needed match practice. Unfortunately, I recently broke my ankles and was out for a long time.
