Today, July 10, sports journalist Yagiz Sabuncuglu reports on his social networks that Gazprom wants to become the main sponsor of Croatian football club Hajduk from Split.
According to the source, the Russian company has already made an official offer to the club’s management. Gazprom wants to provide Hajduk with a transfer budget of 30 million euros. This will allow the Split team to purchase three high-level players.
The journalist points out that the Croatian club has already contacted Tottenham Hotspur regarding the purchase of midfielder Ivan Perisic.
Remember that for a long time “Gazprom” is the main sponsor of “Zenith” from St. Petersburg. The Russian company also cooperates with the Serbian Red Star.
Last season, Hajduk finished second in the Croatian championship with 71 points in 36 games. The team lost only to Dinamo Zagreb.
