The Russian did not have time to debut in the UFC, but he is already causing a sensation.
Famous Russian fighter Sharabutdin Magomedov, better known as Shara Bullet, wastes no time waiting for his debut in the world’s top promotion. As Bullet awaits his first tournament in the UFC, he manages to participate in other competitions. The other day, Shara was in a brawl at the ADCC Southeast Asia wrestling tournament in Thailand. In the semifinals of the category up to 99 kg, Shara faced the Polish Jakub Bilko. Yakub managed to catch Magomedov in a painful hold (twisting his heel) and knocked him to the ground.
Shara, who was in great pain, made a hand movement, similar to surrender, whereupon Bilko immediately released his opponent’s leg. The Russian fighter jumped to his feet and suddenly attacked the lying Pole. After a few lines directed at the Pole Shar, Bullet kicked Bilko in the leg, then the tournament organizers intervened in the conflict. As a result, the victory in this fight went to Bilko, and the Pole was credited with the victory by submission, and not by Bullet’s disqualification.
On the one hand, our compatriot is doing the right thing by trying to improve his wrestling skills before making his UFC debut. Shara has a full command with his punch technique, but we don’t know much about his position. But participation in competitions, and even with such high competition, threatens injuries, so the debut in the UFC can be delayed for at least a few months. Or you might even get yourself fired: Dana White really doesn’t like it when his athletes get injured at other people’s tournaments.
Shara Bullet will make her UFC debut. The organization carefully cultivates a new star from Russia.
But Bullet, as always, managed to make his mark in the media. Russian is great at grabbing attention and getting noticed. Let’s hope that in the UFC, Shara will also shine not only with the sport, but also with media achievements. Otherwise, he can repeat the fate of the modest Magomed Ankalaev – the Dagestan path to the title fight turned out to be almost endless due to the fact that he did not make scandals. However, it seems that fate does not threaten Bullet.
