“He said I was the best.” How did Tuktamysheva and Lazukin maintain their friendship after the breakup?

The skaters broke up, but managed to maintain a good relationship and now spend time together at master classes in Mexico.
Many skaters find love “on the job” during their sports career. Who will understand you better than someone who has put so much time and effort into this sport? But not all of those stories end with a happy ending.
Elizaveta Tuktamysheva and Andrey Lazukin are a great example of how you can maintain a good relationship after a breakup. The skaters continued to skate in the same group after the end of the relationship and communicate to this day.

Lisa and Andrey broke up during the 2019/2020 season. According to Lisa, everything worked out, “the black cat did not run past.” The skaters were together for about five years. Their relationship started with friendship, friendship and ended.
In 2021, Elizaveta was a guest on the Ice Room podcast hosted by Andrey Lazukin and Murad Kurbanov. It turned out to be a very entertaining edition with funny anecdotes from the holidays, a discussion about shooting in MAXIM magazine and mutual jokes.
After parting, the skaters spoke only good things about each other in the press. Lazukin noted that Tuktamysheva’s triple axis was out of competition, and Lisa with pleasure recalled the support of her ex-boyfriend.
What unites Lisa and Andrey now?
In an interview with RIA Novosti in the winter of 2023, Tuktamysheva noted that common activities did not interfere with their relationship at all. “They say it’s better to have different jobs so you don’t bother each other. On the contrary, I was pleased in the company of a young man on the ice and at home”, emphasized Elizaveta. However, she immediately made an important correction: she and Andrei were single skaters and each did her job in training.

But at the same time, they were united by a common cause, and each of them was able to provide the partner with the support he needed. Lisa noticed that she wasn’t in a toxic relationship, and when the relationship is healthy, it helps to move on.
In an open letter at the end of the 2022/2023 season, Lisa gave herself advice when she was 16 years old and recalled her boyfriend’s support during a difficult period: “The people around us play a very important role. Andrey Lazukin helped me a lot, he saved me for a long time, supported me, said that I was the best.
In the spring of 2023, Andrei and Liza became godparents – their mutual friends had a son.

At the end of May, Alexei Nikolaevich Mishin went to master classes in Mexico, Tuktamysheva and Lazukin flew with him. The programming includes an almost daily training process and a cultural program. Taking to social media, the figure skater shared images from a trip to the historical museum and zoo.
It has not yet been possible to enter the Frida Kahlo Museum, but Lisa plans to visit it until the end of her trip through Mexico. The Mishin team’s trip to Mexico will end on June 4.
Is not Tuktamysheva’s heart free again?
In an interview with KP-Petersburg in March, Lisa noted that now her heart is busy. But at the same time, she did not reveal the name of her chosen one, neither in a conversation with a journalist, nor on social networks. Some fans have suggested that Tuktamysheva and Lazukin could get back together, but there is no official confirmation.
Perhaps in the future, the skater will want to tell subscribers about her new chosen one, but for now, Lisa prefers to keep a secret.
