The heroine of this story experienced therapeutic hunger and got rid of a stomach ache.

I have always eaten badly. Like all my peers, I ate a lot of fast food and drank energy drinks and sodas. At the age of 16, I began to have facial skin problems and gastritis appeared, in addition to the fact that since I was a child I had suffered from diathesis (predisposition to pathological reactions). At first I thought it was hormones, but one day I decided to experiment with nutrition on my mother’s advice and try healthy fasting.

Therapeutic hunger is a voluntary refusal to eat in order to improve the body.

When I thought about not eating anything, but just drinking a herbal tea drink with lemon, it seemed to me that this was impossible. I thought my hands would shake from hunger. But it turned out that it was not.

Before you start starving, prepare your body. The first day I heard her feelings. No dizziness, weakness and shaky hands, just lightness and pride in yourself at the end of the day.

The main thing is the readiness and mood in the head, as well as understanding what is happening in the body at the moment. According to scientists, fasting is a complex metabolic process aimed at creating conditions for your purification, renewal, rejuvenation and restoration.

I spent seven days on a wellness fast. My mood has improved, my stomach pains have disappeared, my skin has improved, as well as my general well-being. After leaving the diet, I followed the new nutrition rules. No soft drinks and fast food: if meat, then with a lot of vegetables, as well as bread, but only in exceptional cases.

Therapeutic starvation is a specific technique that is not suitable for everyone.

First of all, you need to consider your constitution. There are people who absolutely cannot starve. They are called people with a fast metabolism. Secondly, under certain physiological conditions, fasting is prohibited: pregnancy, lactation, adrenal fatigue or hypofunction, flexion of the gallbladder and other diseases.

Fasting therapy may be useful in cases of insulin resistance (low insulin sensitivity), metabolic syndrome (increased visceral fat mass), and obesity.

I do not recommend fasting more than 24 hours. The refusal of food for a longer period not only leads to a breakdown, but also introduces the body into a stressful energy-saving state. After a long fast, returning to your usual diet, you risk gaining weight.

Also, prolonged fasting can lead to eating disorders. When we’re looking to test the body’s ability to not eat for five, seven, 10, 12 days, this is of course not healthy. In the end, such experiments make themselves felt by nutrient deficiencies.
