IIHF threatens CSKA with disciplinary measures
The president of the International Ice Hockey Federation, Luc Tardif, said that the IIHF will open a disciplinary case against CSKA if the club violates the conditions for the disqualification of goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov. The goaltender was suspended by the IIHF for four months starting September 1, but Army coach Sergei Fedorov said Fedotov would play despite the ban.
“Fedotov’s disqualification has been in effect since September 1. Under IIHF rules, a player may not compete during a period of suspension. Damir Zhafyarov accepted a pay cut
Ak Bars re-signed the contract with striker Damir Zhafyarov on new terms. According to BUSINESS Online, the duration of the contract has not changed: it remains one year. The player’s salary has changed: if initially it was 80 million rubles, now it is 60 million. According to the Championship, 20 million rubles have been removed from the bonus part.

Zhafyarov moved from SKA to Ak Bars as a result of a trade during the current offseason. Zhafyarov played 75 games for SKA last season, in which he scored 17 goals and provided 36 assists, totaling 53 points. In total, within the framework of the Continental Hockey League, Damir held 589 games, in which he scored 311 (128 + 183) points.
