Elena Isinbaeva, two-time Olympic champion and three-time world pole vault champion, deleted her photo with Russian President Vladimirov Putin, Notepad-Volgograd reports.
A photograph with the head of state, dated November 17, disappeared from Isinbayeva’s feed. The photo was taken after the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi.
Previously, Isinbayeva, commenting on her move to Spain, noted that she is a “man of the world” and can live wherever she wants.
The 41-year-old athlete also stated that the military ranks assigned to her in Russia are nominal.
