If Miocic doesn’t come out of his hibernation, the Russian will have a title shot in the summer.
In the UFC, not a day goes by without an event with the prefix “super-“. Here and now very optimistic news sounded from the other side of the ocean. They mean our hero Sergei Pavlovich, who just breaks the heavyweight division. It seemed that the duel between the Russian and the champion John Jones could no longer be avoided. But the cunning American decided to choose another opponent – Stipe Miocic, who immediately supported Dana White. That’s just Kostyany’s idea and the UFC president is close to failure.
The chances of a fight between Jon Jones and Sergey Pavlovich are increasing:
Pavlovich only has one competitor in the UFC. And he’s in a hurry to retire
During the last few tournaments in press conferences, the question to Dana about the status of the fight between Jones and Miocic was the number one topic. Everyone wanted to hear the exact date and location of the event. But there was no certainty in White’s words. At first he talked about the fight taking place in July, then in November. And now there is information that in 2023 we will not see the battle of two legendary heavyweights. And it seems that the bosses of the UFC are not happy with this situation.
Two-time UFC title contender and now commentator and analyst Chael Sonnen lifted the veil of secrecy slightly. He often gives very precise ideas. And if you believe Cheil, there is less and less time left before the fight between Jones and Pavlovich: “I hear persistent rumors that Stipe and Jones will not agree and that the fight between Sergey Pavlovich and Jones will take place in August. The rumors are strong enough to say that they are working on it. I don’t know at what stage the negotiations are, but there are plans.”
Assessing Pavlovich’s chances in the fight with Jones:
“Jones knocks out Seryoga”. Does Pavlovich have no chance against a great champion?
Miocic’s behavior really raises big questions. The last time he stepped into the octagon was more than two years ago. In addition, the fights turned out to be difficult, accompanied by serious injuries. In 2019, Stipe fought Daniel Cormier and suffered severe retinal damage from multiple blows to the eyes. He took a long time to recover. And in 2021, Miocic lost to Francis Ngannou. And at the time of the knockout, he twisted his leg so badly that his knee gave out. Stipa even had to be hospitalized.
Does Miocic really want to fight Jones?
Stop killing Miocic! Spare the sick Stipe, hand over Jones to be torn to pieces by Pavlovich
Miocic is silent on social networks, does not speak in the media. It all ended with a couple of sentences that probably didn’t affect the champion much. So the greatest fights are definitely not promoted. Therefore, Pavlovich must definitely take advantage of the current situation. It’s time to take matters into our own hands and show that the Russian is ready to fight for the belt.
