The Italian Lazio tied with Atlético de Madrid in the first round match of the group stage of the Champions League. The match took place in Rome and ended with the score 1:1.
The first goal of the match was scored by midfielder Pablo Barrios. In the 29th minute he scored after a pass from Argentine defender Nahuel Molina.
The locals came back in the fifth minute of added time in the second half. Roman goalkeeper Ivan Provedel scored with an accurate shot.
In the next round, Atlético will host Dutch side Feyenoord and Lazio will play away against Scottish side Celtic. Both matches will take place on October 4.
