On February 12, UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev will defend his title in a fight with Australian Alex Volkanovski.
Their fight will headline UFC 284 in Perth, Australia. A few weeks before entering the Octagon, a Russian posted a photo with a caption, writing: “I like this belt and I’m not giving it to anyone.”
Let’s remember that Makhachev won the UFC title by defeating Brazilian Charles Oliveira. The Volkanovski fight will be his first belt defense.
As for the Australian, he holds the featherweight title and has moved up to another division by accepting Makhachev’s challenge.
