Daniil has received a new sponsor. In terms of off-court earnings, the Russian is ahead of two TBS champions.
In May 2023, Daniil Medvedev won the title on clay for the first time in his career, winning the Rome Masters. It seemed that the best Russian tennis player of recent years was ready for new achievements. But since then he has been cut off. Since then, Medvedev has reached the final five times, including twice in the “Helmets”, and has lost five times in decisive matches.

However, in order to win impressive prize money, titles, as a rule, are not a prerequisite. At the US Open 2024, the Russian stopped in the quarterfinals, losing to Jannik Sinner. Like any other tennis player who stops at this stage, Daniil will receive $530,000.
And this is not yet Medvedev’s largest prize money for a single tournament in 2024. He was more successful at other Slams and, as a result, earned more. Reaching the final of the Australian Open brought Daniil 1 million 725 thousand Australian dollars, or $1,153,162. For the Wimbledon semi-finals he received $904,118, and for the Indian Wells Masters final – $585,000.

In terms of prize money, Medvedev confidently occupies the seventh place. Moreover, he will probably soon overtake Pete Sampras and in the coming years will fight for the fifth place not only with Alexander Zverev, but also with Carlos Alcaraz. But it will be difficult to catch up with Andy Murray, not to mention the battle with the Big Three.

Finally, Daniil regularly appears in various Forbes lists. Before the US Open, the American publication traditionally published a ranking of the highest-paid tennis players, which takes into account both the athletes’ earnings on and off the court. In it, Medvedev took seventh place. Left behind, in particular, were Grand Slam champions Naomi Osaka and Aryna Sabalenka. Read more about this in a separate article.

Medvedev surpassed two TBS champions in earnings for the year. But Daniil is not even in the top 6.
The publication estimated that the Russian’s income from activities not directly related to tennis over the past 12 months amounted to $13 million. Daniil is an avid gamer and collaborates with the gaming headset brand HyperX and game manufacturers EA Sports and Ubisoft. And right during the current US Open, a Rainbow Six Siege video featuring Daniil appeared. The video is dedicated to the free distribution of a skin for the Bandit operative. Players can acquire the skin for free until September 8, after which it will be available for purchase using in-game currency.

In addition, in 2023, Medvedev became a shareholder in the M80 esports organization. His sponsors also include BMW Group, Fanatics and Lacoste.
