Intrigue: Who will go to the 2024 Olympics?
Both Lithuania and Puerto Rico have yet to lose a single game in qualifying for the Paris Olympics. The European team defeated Mexico and Ivory Coast in the group stage and then defeated Italy in the semi-finals. In turn, the Puerto Rican team beat Bahrain and Italy in the group stage, and before reaching the final of the qualification, Mexico. Both teams show an excellent level of basketball, but only one team will go to the Olympics.

The Los Angeles Lakers selected Bronny James, son of basketball legend LeBron James, and Dalton Knecht, whom King himself had previously praised, in the 2024 draft. In the first game of the California Classic against the Sacramento Kings, James Jr. scored four points, two rebounds and the same number of assists, without showing the best shooting efficiency. In the next game, the Lakers will face the Golden State Warriors, who defeated Miami 105:66. Will Bronny prove his worth in this game?

Intrigue: Can Sochi take on the Venezuelan club?
Sochi is preparing for a difficult season in the First League. The task is to return to the RPL. The Summer Cup is excellent for preparation. In the first match, the Sochi team lost to Zenit 2:5, and then to Crvena Zvezda (0:2). Now there is a chance to bounce back against Venezuelan Talleres. And they finish the tournament with at least one victory in their pocket.

Intrigue: Will Kalinskaya repeat her record on TBS?
Anna Kalinskaya is having the best year of her career. She has already updated her records at the Australian Open, Roland Garros and Wimbledon and is now close to repeating the best result of all TBS – the quarter-finals. But to do so, the 25-year-old Russian will have to face the champion of the 2022 tournament, Elena Rybakina. At the professional level, the tennis players met four times and exchanged victories twice each. Anna was stronger in W25 at Playford 2019 and Madrid 2023, and Elena was stronger at Miami 2023 and Rome 2023. The winner of the new fight will next face the pair Elina Svitolina – Xinyu Wang.

Intrigue: Will Zenit win the RPL Summer Cup?
Zenit is gaining strength ahead of the start of the RPL season. And the renewed team is playing its first matches together in the Summer Cup. There are already two victories: over Sochi (5:2) and Talleres (1:0). To take the trophy, the St. Petersburg team needs to beat Red Star. The Serbian giants are Zenit’s most serious rival in the tournament. It is even more interesting to see what Semak’s team will offer the Belgrade club.
