Bellator light heavyweight champion Vadim Nemkov is set to fight Cuban Yoel Romero in the spring of 2023. The Russian said this in an interview with MMA.Metaratings.ru.
“There is no date yet. We will discuss this topic at the next tournament when we meet with Scott Cocker and the organizers. Then they will call the date and, most likely, the opponent will not change. We will ask for a fight in April or May”, said the Russian.
Initially, the fight between Nemkov and Romero was supposed to take place on February 4, however, the fight was canceled due to the Russian’s injury.
Remember that in his entire MMA career, 30-year-old Nemkov won 15 wins and suffered 2 losses. Romero, 45, has 15 wins and 6 losses. He played in the UFC for a long time, leaving the league in March 2020.
