Forward “Colorado Avalanche” Valery Nichushkin spoke about visiting the “Tractor” academy. The winner of the Stanley Cup, together with coach Pavel Markidan, held a master class for young athletes and presented the hockey school with a certificate for 3,143,413 rubles.
“Today’s task was to see the academy. It turned out very interesting. We decided to make the most of our time. We gave the guys a couple of tips in the master class and got really excited. I immediately remember the club school in Chelyabinsk – a pleasant time, great impressions. Well, you charge them. Now I talked to the children and immersed myself in the process. I felt like I was graduating from a hockey school, ”Nichushkin said, as quoted by the Traktor press service.
Nichushkin is a 2013 World Youth Championship bronze medalist, a 2012/2013 KHL season silver medalist with Traktor, and a 2022 Stanley Cup winner with the Colorado Avalanche.

Hagel signs $52 million contract with Tampa Bay
The Tampa Bay Lightning signed forward Brandon Hagel to an eight-year, $6.5 million contract.
Last season was the best for the 24-year-old striker in goals (30), assists (34) and points (64). In the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs, Hagel played in six games, scoring one goal and providing four assists with an average ice time of 21.01.
Brandon joined Tampa in March 2022 from the Chicago Blackhawks. In total, the forward played 103 games with Rayo, in which he scored 71 (34 + 37) points. In the 2016 National Hockey League Draft, Hagel was selected by the Buffalo Sabers in the sixth round, 159th overall.

Ufa University has established a scholarship named after Amirov
The Bashkir State Pedagogical University (BSPU), named after Miftakhetdin Akmulla, has established a nominal scholarship in memory of the late former Ufa striker Salavat Yulaev Rodion Amirov. This was reported by the club’s press service.
The Amirov Scholarship will be awarded to BSPU undergraduates who have achieved outstanding success in sports. Amirov himself was a student at the Institute of Physical Culture and Human Health of the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Akmulla, a graduate of Akmulla College.
Amirov struggled with a brain tumor for a long time. For the first time, the player’s illness became known in February 2022. Since then, Amirov has been undergoing treatment, helped by Salavat and the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Ufa hockey student died on August 14, 2023. He was 21 years old.
